Ban lifted . They didnt aknowledge the signage anyway . I think its disgusting portobello promenade is filled with children and people walking dogs and pensioners enjoy a stroll . I am 84 and have nearly been knocked down twice by passing cyclists they look upon the pedestrians as if an inconvinience if you happen to be doing what the promenad is intended for walking. We had a commite meeting with our local art group and i mentioned to someone about what nearly happened to me . She told me oh ive just came out hospital after an broken hip due to being startled and loosing my footing due to a grown adult rushing by. I agree not all cyclists using the prom are so inconsiderate but i do know that every cyclist who passes used the prom even when it wasnt permitted . Anyone who wishes to suggest or arrange an opposition to this i will gladly attend i hope to create a petition shortly for this . Not for my sake but for the children animals and oap who use the prom and live on the prom
